3/25/19- We have been spending a lot of time brainstorming ideas and discussing what to do when you get stuck when you are writing. Today we used a picture prompt from a wordless book. The students took notes on what they observed and then they started writing a story. Each student is creating their own story. I can wait to read their stories later this week!
4/2/19- Each student wrote a story based on a picture from a wordless picture book. The student's creativity was amazing. They all created a different story off of the same picture. They were able to develop a plot, with a setting and a conflict. I was also amazed by their specific, picture-painting words!
4/19/19-We have spent some time working on developing characters, descriptive settings, and creating conflicts. Now the students are using there brainstorming to write their own stories.
5/6/19- The students are busy writing their stories. They just want to write and write and write! We will be checking the stories to make sure they have all the elements of a story.
